Mastic Asphalt

The only remaining craft in the flat roofing industry, this wonderful and versatile material is often berated for being old fashioned and out dated.

We know that as true mastic asphalters we are the thatchers of tomorrow – a dying breed. As a second generation mastic asphalt spreader, I hold a real affection for this highly skilled craft but accept that its application will run into difficulties on the health and safety front.

Perhaps when you consider that application involves manhandling molten mastic asphalt from a steel bucket using hand made wooden tools, there is a point to be made!

Happy to continue our long association with the craft, we have the expertise and dedicated machinery necessary to install mastic asphalt to the highest traditional standards (no 1000 meter squared projects please!).
